Tadepalli, August 2: YSRCP official spokesperson Putha Shivashankar Reddy lambasted Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for his brazen admission during the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme launch in Darshi, where he declared that farmers would have no assurance under his leadership. Speaking at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, Shivashankar stated that Naidu revealed his deep-seated hostility toward farmers and agriculture, a stance evident in his governance. “Naidu’s own words, captured on video, betray his disregard for farmers’ welfare,” Shivashankar stated. He highlighted Naidu’s unfulfilled promise of Rs. 20,000 input aid, which deceitfully includes the Centre’s Rs. 6,000 share, while last year’s dues remain unpaid. The scheme’s beneficiary list was also arbitrarily reduced by seven lakhs, leaving countless farmers in distress.
Shivashankar further criticized Naidu for flouting Supreme Court guidelines by featuring his son, Nara Lokesh, in government advertisements, sidelining the BC Agriculture Minister. “Spending lakhs on ads to promote Lokesh while ignoring the minister reflects Naidu’s nepotism and misuse of power,” he charged. He pointed to farmers’ protests over unremunerative prices and lack of support, underscoring Naidu’s failure to address their plight. “From defaulting on promises to undermining farmers, Naidu’s true colors are exposed,” Shivashankar concluded, urging citizens to hold the government accountable.
