Annadatha Poru, farmers’ uprising against neglect and injustice 

Tadepalli, Sep 9: Andhra Pradesh witnessed an unprecedented wave of farmer agitations under “Annadatha Poru” led by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) which was a grand success.
Defying barricades, arrests, and house detentions, farmers across 26 districts rallied at 74 RDO and Sub-Collector offices demanding justice, fertilizers, MSP, and crop protection.
In Vizianagaram, former Deputy Speaker Kolagatla Veerabhadraswamy and ex-MLAs Buddhi Konda Appalanaidu, Kadubandi Srinivasarao mobilized thousands. In Bheemili (Visakhapatnam), leaders Majji China Srinu and KK Raju submitted petitions after a rally. 


At Parvathipuram Manyam, despite clashes, cadres led by ex-Deputy CM Peedika Rajanna Dora and district chief Shatrucharla Parikshit Raju stormed restrictions.
In Machilipatnam (Krishna district), farmers rallied under Simhadri Ramesh Babu, Perni Kittu, and Uppala Ramu, slamming Naidu for fertilizer black marketing. 


Nandigama saw police attempt to block YSRCP state general secretary Asif and Mondithoka Arun Kumar and other leaders, but they evaded restrictions and joined the rally, exposing attempts to stifle protests.
In Guntur, rallies from Ambedkar and A1 centers, led by Ambati Rambabu, Modugula Venugopala Reddy, Annabattula Shivakumar, and Lella Appi Reddy, charged the coalition with diverting fertilizers and scrapping free crop insurance. Prakasam (Ongole, Kanigiri) saw strong participation under Buchepalli Shivaprasad Reddy and Adimulapu Suresh.
In Nellore, rallies led by Mekapati Vikram Reddy, Burra Madhusudan Yadav, and MLCs Meriga Murali, Nedurumalli Ram Kumar Reddy thundered against the government. Kurnool and Nandyal saw massive processions led by Gangula Prabhakar Reddy, SV Mohan Reddy, Butta Renuka, Shilpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy, and others, with calls against farmer suicides.
In Anantapur & Sri Sathya Sai, leaders Ushashree Charan, Deepika, Ananta Venkatarami Reddy, Shailajanath, and Gorantla Madhav led fiery protests. Kadapa’s Ramasubbareddy faced house arrest, but farmers still thronged RDO offices. In Annamayya, ex-MLAs Srinivasulu and Ramachandra Reddy joined slogans for fair MSP.


In Tirupati, Bhumana Abhinay Reddy staged creative protests on urea shortages. Chittoor saw RK Roja and Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy lead strong rallies. In Konaseema, Chirla Jaggireddy, Chinta Anuradha, and Vipparti Venugopal highlighted deliberate urea diversion.
YSRCP declared that Annadatha Poru is the beginning of a larger battle
