Under TDP Rule, AP Tops In Crime Against Women In India

It is a big shame to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s government. Andhra Pradesh occupied first position in the crime against women as the number of sexual harassment, assault cases on women and gender discrimination was highest among other states in the country.
60 per cent attacks on women were reported in the villages, 20 per cent on IT employees and another 20 cases were reported on other sections in the state. On an average, 12. 4 percent of the cases related to women were reported in Andhra Pradesh alone.
The Call Money scam which came to light in Vijayawada recently was the stark example of the AP government's failure in providing protection to women in the state. In a fresh, sexual assault on a girl by three students in Prakasham district brought disrepute to the state at national level as the video gone viral on social media.
To the worse, Chandrababu Naidu wad maintaining stoic silence on the increasing crime against women and also did not take any action to curb the social menace.
