The Government publicized
that it would sanction ration, pension and houses to all applicants in the 4^th
phase of Janmabhoomi-Maa ooru programme, but showed empty hand to people as
usual. None of the applications submitted in the first three hases of the
programme have been solved.

The little amount of
ration and pension sanctioned was to TDP-favoured people. TDP used
Janmabhoomi-maa ooru programme for its publicity. Those people favoured by
Janmabhoomi Committee members and ruling party leaders have been sanctioned
benefits despite their absence. Those who came there to plead for ration,
pension and houses were given nothing but answers like their application was
still pending or had not been approved or their Aadhar card had not been
tallied. They demanded for new applications wherever pakka houses were askded.

People confronting
rulers and officials

During Janmabhoomi-Maa
ooru programme, Government officials and ruling party leaders were confronted
by people at many places about the situation of implementation of campaign
promises made to them by TDP. They asked why none of the problems reported in
the previous phases of the programme had been solved. TDP leaders could not
answer them, much to people’s disgust.
