YSRC ridicules TDP claim on BC welfare: June 12

Hyderabad, July 12: YSRCP has ridiculed TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu for his rhetoric on BC welfare, a promise which he never kept.

“Chandababu Naidu promising to give 100 seats to BCs in the 2014 elections is just a ploy to keep the flock together and his past shows that he never fulfilled his promise,” YSRC spokesperson, Bajireddy Goverdhan told reporters here on Thursday.

“He made many such promises ealier but if the 2009 candidates’ list is taken into consideration he has given just 54 seats to BCs. He has been making such statements to attract the BC vote bank but he has exposed himself on many occasions and the weaker sections were given a raw deal by him in TDP,” he said.

Asserting that only YSRCP has a solid agenda for the uplift of BCs, he said, what Chandrababu Naidu is promising now is only to prevent further exodus from the Party. BC welfare was never on the priority list of TDP.  YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on the other hand,  has undertaken many agitations for the cause of weaker sections.

“Welfare schemes for the BCs will take shape only under the leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Chandrababu Naidu’s attempt to lure BCs by offering assembly tickets does not serve the purpose of BC welfare,” he said. (EOM)
