YSRCP flays Naidu for remarks

Press Release

Hyderabad
, December 4: Taking serious note on the remarks of TDP President N
Chandrababu Naidu, YSR Congress said he was speaking out of frustration as his
padyatra is turning out to be a flop show and has reiterated that the Party
stand was vindicated with the Ministers filing counter in the Supreme Court
defending the genuineness of the 26 GOs.

“TDP leader telling that the game is up for YSRCP is absurd; on the
other hand TDP has been folding up with the depleting base and the padayatra
getting a poor response,” party spokesperson Gattu Ramachandra Rao told
reporters here on Tuesday.

YSR Congress has won majority of the by-elections ever since its
inception while TDP lost deposits in all the regions which shows that its base
has eroded fast. Chandrababu Naidu invoking the name of NTR in his padayatra is
hypocrisy as it was he who unseated him and usurped the Party from the founder
leader.

His remarks that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is trying for the CM’s job speaks
of his narrow-mindedness and does not go well with his stature of being Chief
Minister for nine years, he said adding manipulation has been his core strength
of survival.

His cronies in
Delhi

secretly meet Union Ministers and CBI ignores charges against him and TDP joins
Congress in filing case against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as the two parties
believed that they will benefit if Jagan is put in jail. The result of the
conspiracy is wide in the open now, he said.

With the Ministers filing affidavits individually defending the 26 GOs,
our stand has been vindicated.  We have been telling the same thing ever
since the case was foisted on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. When the GOs are in tune with the service rules, there can be no case against our
leader. This is the reason why the Government kept away from filing a counter
in the High Court as it would hinder their plan of keeping Jagan away from
people.

It took nine months for them to file a counter when Supreme Court has
directed them to explain their stand on the GOs. Now they have no option but to
spill the beans and their version will help in absolving YS Jagan Mohan Reddy
of the charges, he said.

He described the isolated incident at Sharmila’s padayatra in
Maboobnagar as unfortunate and said, in a democracy every person has a right to
move freely and campaign for their respective Party. Such incidents are not
good for a democracy and the consequences may be dire, he added.
