Vijayamma to undertake Deeksha on 18, 19

Hyderabad, July 15, 2013: YSR Congress Honorary
President YS VIjayamma would undertake two-day fast on July 18 and 19 demanding
the reversal of the GO capping fees reimbursement for higher and technical
education.

“The State has issued a GO fixing a ceiling of Rs
35,000 to engineering students which will further dilute the fees reimbursement
scheme introduced by YSR. The Party has decided to protest against the
Government policy and YS Vijayamma will go on a two-day fast,” party senior
leader Dr MV Mysoora Reddy told reporters here on Sunday.

The deeksha was originally scheduled for July 14 and
15 but was deferred due to the inclement weather.

Earlier, ys jagan mohan Reddy undertook Fees Poru at
Indira Park from February 14 to 24, 2011 while YS VIjayamma participated in
similar protest programmes at Eluru on August 13, 2012 and at Indira Park on
September 6 and 7 2012.

Fees reimbursement scheme is close to the heart of
YSR as it is very useful to students of weaker sections.

The Deeksha will be in protest against the GO and
demanding the Government to revoke the Order.
