YSR Congress Party on Friday said the terms of House Committee appointed to probe the land allotments were confined only to the specifications of TDP as the main intention of the treasury and opposition benches was to defame former chief minister Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
“The setting up of House Comiittee eleven months after the demand, comes handy for Congress and TDP, which have been working in tandem, to defame YSR as his son YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been gaining popularity with every passing day and the two parites are on the slide,” the party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters here. 
Though the assembly was twice in session, after the debate and demand for House Committee, Naidu did not reiterate the demand. As the Congress and TDP popularity rating has been on the slide and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy fame is north-bound, the ruling and Opposition Parties have ganged up and confined the terms of reference only to the period of YSR rule. 
“The earlier TDP term and the K Roshaiah and N Kiran Kumar Reddy period was ignored and only YSR term was singled out for the House Committee probe only to tarnish the image of YSR,” he said. 
We have seen Congress and TDP working together in case filed against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy next it was visible during the MLC elections and the no confidence motion drama too was carried out only after ensuring  that there was no danger to the Kiran government, he said adding that the appointemnt of information Commissioners too has no resistance from TDP. 
Alleging that Naidu has been pulling the strings after he had a secret pact with Congress High Command, Ambati said, the popularity rating of TDP fell from 44 per cent in 1994 to 28 per cent in 2009. The new nomenclature of TDP is, he said, Totally Destroyed Party. 
YSR Congress Party will go ahead with its policy of being with the people and taking up their cause, he said.
