YSR Congress Party leader, Ambati Ram Babu told the CBI to begin the probe from 2002 during which time the GO was issued.
Coming out of the CBI office after being questioned, he told waiting reporters that the CBI has asked him some details about Emaar Properties and he replied to the best of knowledge and cooperated with the investigation agency.
When asked about the APIIC role in the scam, he said, the Corporation has to work according to the instructions of the Government. Any GO cannot be changed by the APIIC and only the cabinet has the power to do so, he told reporters after coming out of the CBI camp office.
The main reason for all this is the GO Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has given in 2002 in connivance with the Dubai-based company, he said.
I have asked them to investigate the matter from 2002 onwards from the day the GO was issued and Collaboration Agreement was signed and they have agreed to do, he said
