The Government Has Failed In Girijans' Welfare

Seethampeta: Palakonda MLA Viswasarayi Kalavathi commented that TDP Government had failed in coming to the assistance of Girijans. Gadapagadapaku YSR Congress had been held at Varapusantha of Seethampeta in Srikakulam district. Speaking on this occasion, Kalavathi mentioned about the lack of fair price for forest products collected by Girijans in spite of the presence of cooperative society for Girijans. The products like brooms and pineapples available in this season had to be sold only to mediators, she remarked. She also mentioned about the lack of drinking water in the Girijan colonies, leading to their drinking polluted water, falling prone to diseases. Kalavathi stated that the aged from poor families were not receiving pensions.
