YSRCP to hold candle rally on 27

Hyderabad, May 23,
2013: YSR Congress party will undertake a 2-day protest programme in Hyderabad
on May 27 and 28 opposing the judicial custody of its party chief Sri Y.S.
Jagan Mohan Reddy, according to party spokesman and convener of its trade union
wing, Janak Prasad.
Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy will
complete one year of judicial custody in jail on May 27.
Janak Prasad told
reporters here on Thursday that a candle rally will be held at People’s Plaza
on the Necklace Road on 27 and ten thousand people are expected to attend it.
“Several party leaders and activists will also participate in the evening
rally,” he said.
On 28, party honourary president
Smt. Y.S. Vijayamma, accompanied by party leaders and activists, will stage a
dharna at Indira Park opposing the detention of Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“We have sought
permission from the DGP to stage the protest rally and dharna on the two days
and he has positively responded,” said Janak Prasad.
