YSRCP submits memorandum to DGP

Hyderabad, April 23, 2013: YSR Congress Party on Tuesday
submitted a representation to the DGP Dinesh Reddy seeking a string of measures
to ensure safety of women and prevent recurrence of atrocities on the women
folk.
The memorandum,
submitted by the YSRCP women’s wing president Kolli Nirmala Kumari, has
demanded the DGP to establish women police stations in all towns with 25 per
cent of the police force being represented by women and launch women’s help
centers in all police stations.
The party has also
asked the DGP to take steps to curtail obscenity in mass media and establish
fast track courts to investigate complaints from women besides working towards
renewing the State Mahila Commission.
