YSRCP reiterates its commitment to Samaikyandhra

Hyderabad, Nov 1,
2013: YSR Congress Party on Friday reiterated its commitment to take forward
the Samaikya Andhra agitation to keep the state united under the leadership of
party chief Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Speaking to
reporters after theAP Formation Day celebrations at the party central office
here, YSRCLP Deputy Leader Sobha Nagi Reddy said that some selfish people are
trying to take political mileage by bifurcating the state and creating rift
among the Telugu people and regions.

The state of Andhra
Pradesh has been the result of sacrifices by several grate people like Potti Sriramulu,
she said , adding people will reject all attempts aimed at slicing the state
into two pieces for political gains.

Expressing anguish that the bifurcation
is pushing the state into the 15th place from its earlier 3rd
position, she said YSRCP will leave no stone unturned to keep the state united
for the benefit all Telugu people.

She said majority people in the state
are determined to keep AP united under any circumstances and will teach a
fitting lesson to Congress party and its President Sonia Gandhi for dividing
the state for the sake of 15 or 16 seats for making Rahul Gandhi next PM.

Arrest of Smt.
Vijayamma condemned

Sobha Nagi Reddy
condemned the arrest of party honourary president Smt. Y.S. Vijayamma on
Thursday by police at Pynampally in the Khammam and Nalgonda district border for
preventing her from touring the flood-hit areas in Nalgonda district.

“CM, who claims to
be a protagonist of Samaikyandhra, is also looking after Home portfolio. We are
fighting to keep the state united. In such circumstances, why did he get her
arrested if he is a champion of united AP as boasted by him?”

Lashing out at
Ministers Jana Reddy and Uttam Kumar and their supporters for disrupting Smt.
Vijayamma tour in the flood hit areas, she reminded them they are the ministers
for the entire Andhra Pradesh and not for a few districts.

“A few individuals
had disrupted her visit and not the people,” she said and asked Jana: “What
happened to your bold statements that you will take steps to protect all
protagonists of Samaikyandhra?”
