Guntur: YSR Congress Party candidate Venkataramana won the 31st ward in the by-election. He won the election with 182 votes majority. Though the TDP resorted to unethical practices in the election and tried to lure the voters with money, the public opted for the YSRCP and gave thumping majority to the YSRCP candidate.
The counting of votes began on Tuesday morning. The election officials declared Venkataramana's victory.
