Hyderabad,
Sept 18, 2012: YSR Congress Party today brought the farmers’ problems of
Kurnool and YSR districts to the notice of the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar
Reddy.
YSR
Congress legislature party deputy leader Sobha Nagi Reddy and party MLA
Srikanth Reddy told journalists at media point in the assembly premises they
have appealed to Kiran Kumar Reddy to release water to the two districts
enabling the farmers to cultivate their lands.
“We
have appealed to the Chief Minister to release water to the two districts but
there is no clear assurance from the Chief Minister,” they said, adding that
the Government has not been caring to solve the problems of the farmers.
Accusing
the government of deliberately plotting to ensure the adjournment of the
assembly to escape from a discussion on the power crisis, Sobha Nagi Reddy and
Srikanth Reddy said the state failed on the power front due to lack of planning
by the government. “The situation is the
result of Government’s failure,” they said.
