YSR Congress Party Demands CBI Probe into Polavaram Scam

Addressing the press,  the YSR Congress leader alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had no commitment in the  completion of of the project. During the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh,  it was proposed to accord national project status to Polavaram.  But, Chandrababu exploited the project for monetary gains.  

The union government already nailed with AP government for  faulty designs and awarding works to the contractors be escalating the estimations, Kanna Babu said also criticised the government for taking up Pattiseema and Purushottampatnam projects neglecting the Polavaram. 

He ridiculed government decision to scrap the contracts awarded to TDP MP Rayapati's Tollstroy company.  The YSR Congress leader alleged Chandrababu swindled crores of rupees by giving Sub contracts to other companies.  

Kanna Babu said a YSR Congress will conduct a detailed enquiry into therfore episode once the party come to power in next elections.
