Special Category Status is lifeline to Andhra Pradesh, said YSRCP Honourary President YS Vijayamma on Monday. When the party is protesting against the BJP for the sake of achieving SCS to state, TDP leaders are claiming that we struck a deal with the saffron party, she said. Expressing her solidarity with the fasting YSRCP MPs at AP Bhavan in Delhi, YS Vijayamma requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fulfill promises made to AP at the time of bifurcation.
She said that Chandrababu had neither done nothing in the last four years of rule nor during his previous nine-year rule. He also asked the public to idenity the true crusaders of the cause. It's high time the TDP MPs gave up their posts in the interest of the state, she said, adding that a united stand will ensure AP got justice soon. She also asked the TDP MPs to recall their stand on the issue years ago.
She also stated that the YSRCP had moved a no-confidence motion against the Centre 13 times. She also found fault with the BJP government for not allowing a discussion on the Special Category Status issue in Lok Sabha. The YSRCP honourary President also said that the Centre had devalued AP and wasn't giving the state enough for its development while it was doling out lakhs to other states. Polvaram project is the lifeline of Andhra Pradesh. Had Dr YSR been alive, he would have finished the project by now, she reflected.
