YS Jagan to undertake hunger strike for special status

Decision of the Peoples Leader

The Leader of Opposition has issued a deadline to the State Government. Within the 15th of this month if Special Status was not granted…he warned that he will commence his indefinite hunger strike in Guntur from the very next second of the deadline. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the people of the state have seen the behavior of Chandrababu in the Assembly. He said that to strengthen the resolution passed in the Assembly a timeline has to be given to the Central Government. And if the Central Goivernment has not responded within that timeline, he demanded that Telugu Desam should call back all of its Central Ministers from Delhi. He stressed that the pressure builds up on Centre only if Ministers come out.

He blamed that during separation in Rajyasabha the then ruling party and opposition have made promise to grant Special Status to the state and later ignored it completely. He criticized that Chandrababu was not able to achieve it even after being in power for 15 months. He accused that because Chandrababu has bowed in front of Modi to rescue him from Cash for Vote case the Central Government has taken the issue of Special Status very lightly. He said that in their demand for Special Status they will teach a lesson to Chandrababu.

Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy fired that Chandrababu is speaking something when he was in Delhi and changing his version when he was in Vijayawada creating severe chaotic condition to the people of the state. Getting depressed by his words and confusion five people have committed suicides fearing that employment opportunities will not come. He said that when Chandrababu has passed resolution in the Assembly to maintain silence for those died in suicides, he did not even utter their names. Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy gave a call that by being united we shall achieve Special Status to the State.
