YS Jagan Supports Veterinary Students Protest
23 Mar 2018 10:39 AM

Gannavaram: Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy extended his support to the protesting veterinary students here today. The students were demanding for upgrading the Rural Livestock Units into Veterinary Dispensaries. The students have been on relay fast and protest for past 22 days.
It is said that despite submitting numerous memorandums to the state government, it was unconcerned about solving the veterinary students' issues. They handed over a memorandum to YSRCP chief and requested him to help in solving their problems. In this context, the students recalled that due to the support by YS Jagan for their protests in 2016, around 250 persons working in Rural Livestock Units got job promotions.
The Opposition Leader assured that all their problems will be addressed once the YSRCP comes into power. He promised to fill at least half of 1217 vacancies in veterinary department as soon as they come into power and the rest would be recruited within a year, he added.
