YS Jagan Questions Credentials Of Budget Figures

Amaravati: Finance Minister on Wednesday presented the maiden budget in the new State capital. He proposed total expenditure at Rs1.57 lakh crore, comprising revenue expenditure of Rs1.26 lakh crore and capital expenditure of Rs 31,087.
After reviewing the budget, leader of the Opposition and YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy  questioned the credentials of the government's claims that the state had achieved progress in various fronts and especially the growth in GDP.

Speaking to the media, the YSRCP chief questioned that how come the AP state achieved 11.61 growth in the year when the GDP all over the world is struggling to grow beyond 3.5 percent, and the national GDP is just 7.1 percent.

"The Discoms are in huge losses, but the government is claiming that it was doing excellent in power sector and got five awards," YS Jagan said.
