YS Jagan criticises land pooling for Bhogapuram airport

Vijayanagaram: YRCP president, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, during his travel to Vijayanagaram district, strongly stated that the plan of constructing Bhogapuram airport is insignificant. He also questioned, that – “How does land pooling of 15000 acres of farm land for constructing an airport help?

Clearly stated, that the available land in Visakha as of now is 350 acres, and if it is still not sufficient, it would be good to consider 1000 more acres in the same place and expand it, stated opinion – YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Constructing Greenfield airport at Bhogapuram will throb the farmers as land pooling of 15000 acres will snatch the food of the farmer which is not correct decision of Government.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy mentioned that, the cost of one acre in Bhogapuram which is close to Visakhapatnam, as of now is 2 crores. In the name of land pooling, if the government gives 1000 – 1500 Sq yards, to the farmers, where will the people go – questioned Jagan.

YSRCP President assured that the party will definitely support the farmers, who are against the construction of Bhogapuram airport. He restated that the State government is causing problem to the people in the state. He also questioned – how far is the present action of impairing farmers is beneficial to the government?
