Visakhapatnam,
Sept 20: YSR Congress Party has organized a huge rally on Thursday here
opposing the hefty increase in diesel prices and capping of subsidized cooking
gas supply.
The
rally, which began at the Dalfin Junction and ended at the Ambedkar statue near
the LIC building, witnessed the participation of women in large numbers.
Participants
raised slogans against the government and demanded the withdrawal of the hike
in diesel prices and removal of cap on subsidized cooking gas supply. The
activists also opposed the Government’s decision to allow FDI (foreign direct
investment) in multi brand retail sector.
“We
don’t want FDI,” slogans rent the air throughout the rally and the participants
demanded the Centre to withdraw its anti-people’s decisions immediately.
