Women Lacking protection Under Babu's Rule

Chennai: The attack on Municipal Chairperson of Nagari of Chittoor district, K.Santha Kumari's attack proved the situation of protection women were enjoying under Chandrababu's rule, exclaimed her husband KJ Kumar. He thanked YSRCP president YS Jagan and Nagari MLA RK Roja as they called and consoled him. He stated that the Government had not responded yet to the attack. Santha Kumari is being treated at Apollo Hospital in Chennai. KJ Kumar spoke to the media on this occasion.

Kumar mentioned that Amrut Raj, the primary assailant, was a goon from Tamilnadu and that he had been arrested for smuggling rice and was imprisoned under PD act for a year in Pulal jail. His brother Michael Raj has been convicted for cheap liquor preparation, he stated. He added that Amruth Raj had evaded to AP from under the nose of Tamilnadu Police and Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu had taken them under his shelter, Kumar revealed.

He remarked that Gali Muddu Krishnama Naidu had ordered for the assault, forgetting the fact that a municipal chairperson would have the right to attend a programme happening in her municipal area and that he had to take the help of goons from Tamilnadu for the assault because, Santha Kumari and himself had good name among the local people.
