Will Implement Every Promise Made To The People

Leader of the Opposition and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that unlike Chandrababu Naidu, who backtracked on every promise he made during the elections, he would implement every promise he is making to the people during the Praja Sankalpa Yatra. He said his party manifesto would be uploaded on the Internet and people can question him if any of the assurance remained unfulfilled.

Moments before his Praja Sankalpa Yatra in Anantapur district has come to an end on Wednesday, YS Jagan had a free-wheeling chitchat with the mediapersons. He said his party would not discriminate the people on the basis of caste, creed, community and religion while sanctioning welfare schemes. YS Jagan said his party believed in value-based politics and reminded everyone that he had asked Silpa Chakrapani to resign his MLC post before joining the YSRCP. Chandrababu Naidu, however, is shamelessly encouraging defections.

YS Jagan said that there was large-scale corruption in Polavaram project and said that the TDP leaders were minting money in the name of sub-contracts. He said not one project has been taken up after Chandrababu came to power. "Most projects that were 90 per cent complete during the YSR regime, are being shown as TDP projects," he pointed out.

When asked about his announcement of bringing down pensionable age to 45 years, he said those who are criticising his decision are not aware of the rural realities. He said he had taken this decision only after seeing the plight of weaver women in Dharmavaram. He said he would implement prohibition in four phases.
