Vijayawada: Official spokesperson of the YSR Congress party (YSRCP) Ambati Rambabu today said that the Vangaveeti family would have the due respect and recognition in the party. He clarified that the YSRCP has taken the decision to invite the family into the party after taking into account all the aspects. Speaking to media here today, he said that there was no intention to do injustice to the Vangaveeti family. Adding that Vangaveeti Ranga had earlier won from the Vijayawada East constituency, he said that the party was confident of repeating history.
Ambati requested the fans of Vangaveeti Ranga to honour the party's decision. He asserted that the party had given Vangaveeti Radha an option to contest from Machilipatnam Parliamentary constituency.
Reacting to Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu's speech in today's Assembly session, Ambati questioned his motive behind involving in the affairs of the TRS party in Telangana. "Why did Chandrababu shift the base to Amaravati after the outbreak of the note for vote case? Why did the TDP leaders not protest with black badges when Congress President Rahul Gandhi visited the State today? Why did Chandrababu not fight for the Special Category Status when the TDP was in alliance with the BJP?" he questioned.
The YSRCP leader criticized Chandrababu for not responding to the suicide of a Kurnool youth, who had sacrificed his life in demand for the SCS. He added that it was hilarious to see TDP leaders protest against the warrant issued by a Maharashtra Court.
