TRS Acquiring Land By Force

Hyderabad: Condemning the Telangana government policy of acquiring
land by force, Telangana YSR Congress Party has demanded a compensation of Rs
25 lakh per acre for the Tadakapalli reservoir. ‘Redesigning the reservoir is
aimed at benefitting KCR’s constituency Gajwel and the acquisition of land by
force is highly condemnable,’ party leaders Nalla Surya Prakash and Konda
Raghava Reddy told reporters here on Friday.

Using police force for acquiring land is undemocratic and
redesigning the project is absolutely not necessary, they said. Since the land
acquired is fertile we demand that the compensation amount should be fixed at
Rs 25 lakh per acre, they said. They also flayed TDP leader Revant Reddy and
his party’s double standards on various issues.
