Nandyal: The ruling TDP was misusing power in the by-election bound Nandyal Assembly Constituency. Besides luring voters with money and liquor, the YSR Congress leaders were also targeted. The opposition leaders were being intimidated and in some cases police are conducting raids on their housed.
As the election date is approaching fast, police conducted searches in the residences of YSR Congress candidate Silpa Mohan Reddy relatives in the midnight.
Silpa's relatives Jagadiswar Reddy, Aadi Reddy and his supporters Satyanarayana and Linga Reddy houses were raided and harassed their family members in the nights.
Despite the YSR Congress lodged complaints, police did not take action against TDP leaders who indulged in distribution of money to voters. With the support of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Telugu Desam leaders were misusing power.
YSR Congress leaders warned people will teach a befitting lesson to TDP in the bye election.
