TDP Has To Quit The Cabinet

  • People of AP are at utter dissatisfaction
  • Promises made with parliament as witnessed should be fulfilled
  • Special status for AP should be announced: YSRCP MPs
New Delhi: YSRCP MP PV Mithun Reddy stated that the people of AP were under dissatisfaction with the statement made by minister of the state for finance regarding grant of special status to it. He raised this topic during the discussion in Loksabha on appropriation bill on Wednesday. He reminded that BJP and Congress Party had made a lot of promises to the state at the time of bifurcation, that Congress Party had proposed giving five years of special status to the state and BJP had proposed it for 10 years instead.
Mithun Reddy also recollected how even PM Narendra Modi announced in the public meeting held at Tirupati that if BJP came to power, AP would be given special status. TDP and BJP had clearly mentioned in their manifesto regarding the sanction of special status, revealed Mithun Reddy. He insisted that BJP and NDA Government kept their word and gave special status to AP.
YSRCP MP Velagapalli Varaprasad Rao mentioned in a statement that the centre was showing regulations as a reason for not giving special status and demanded that TDP stepped aside from the coalition with BJP at least now, thus bringing pressure on the centre. He opined that special status would give an answer to the employment and industry sectors of the state.
