Hyderabad, April 2: YSR Congress has said that the state affairs are in dire straits with TDP mortgaging the Andhra Pradesh interests in Delhi and not working for special status.
‘Had Chandrababu Naidu made it a point to get special status for the state instead compromising for his personal interests the state would have been on the path of development,’ party spokesperson Thammineni Sitharam told reporters here on Saturday.
The state need not have to look towards Centre for funds if the special status was accorded and the revenue deficit will further hamper the progress. The Central funds are inadequate and the deficit is hard to fill up and the Chief Minister has no moral courage to question the Centre, he said.
Chandrababu Naidu has been mortgaging state interests for his personal gains and he failed in getting adequate funds from the Centre, he said adding that he did not even hold a single all party meeting had has not taken other political parties into consideration.
The Chief Minister should concentrate more on schemes than involving in scams, he said.
