TDP experience is only in luring MLAs

Hyderabad, April 1: Pooh-poohing the claim of Chandrababu Naidu and his party having more experience than the opposition, YSR Congress has said that those skills are misused to lure the opposition party leaders while it has blatantly failed to upkeep the basic democratic norms in the Assembly.

‘The parliamentary practice of honoring the Opposition demand when it pressed for a division on three occasions was breached by the so-called experienced Chief Minister, Speaker, Legislative Affairs Minister and other seniors of the ruling party while YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his team had conducted well in tune with the people’s aspirations,’ party PAC member and spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Friday.

We have pressed for division, which is our democratic right on the no-trust motions against the government and the Speaker and during the Appropriation Bill but it was rejected on two occasions and on the third was rushed through in a hurry. The ruling party telling that the Opposition is inexperienced is ridiculous as our Leader had conducted himself in a dignified manner despite the interruptions and provocations from the experienced treasury benches, he said adding that the ruling party had tried its best to gag the Opposition which is the voice of the people.

With all the experience and boasting that he can read the Kaul and Shakdhar Book backwards, Legislative Affairs Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu had quoted rule 340 and suspended our MLA RK Roja for one year though the rule does not permit such a drastic action. When the court was moved, he lost face and started telling that the rule was quoted by mistake.

The experience of the ruling party is being used in luring the opposition party leaders and the talk doing the rounds is that TDP has been promising a package which also covers the election expenses, past and future, but we are not deterred as our Party is with the people and in the final count we will win their mandate and not the turncoats or the party that has been resorting to horse-trading ignoring development and welfare schemes, he said.

Chandrababu Naidu has been trying to manage institutions including the media and has been trying to show the people only its positive side and any criticism has been firmly dealt with.

TDP corruption has also reached Delhi with the Prime Minister vetoing Finance Minister’s nod for Rs 2,000 crores for capital city building and cut it short to Rs 900 crores and has put conditions for the release of the amount which can be claimed only after submitting the utilization certificate, he said.
