Srikakulam: Tension built up in Amudalavalasa of Srikakulam ditrict. YSRCP's senior leader Tammineni Sitaram attempted a suicide. He expressed displeasure towards the police for blaming YSRCP activists for the computers at the municipal office that had accidentally caught fire and filing a case against them.
Tammineni, angered by the police's intentional atrocity, attempted to light himself up with petrol. He was hundered by YSRCP activists. Tammineni and other paty leaders remarked that the police were deliberately targeting them while they were peacefully observing the bandh in demand for the state's special status. They held agitation in front of the police station in Amudalavalasa against the behaviour of the police.
