Godavari - Solidarity to Aqua Foods
victims
West Godavari:
The leader of opposition in AP and YSRCP president YS Jagan is going to tour in
Tundurru, Betapudi, Jonnalagaruvu and other areas in Bhimavaram mandal and
comfort the victims of Mega Aqua Food Park. He is going to speak to the victims
of the park’s construction and find their problems and reasons for resisting
the park. YSRCP has already toured in the areas, found out their problems and
reported them to the people’s leader.
Alla Nani spoke on this
occasion to acclaim YS Jagan for being there for the people whenever they were
in danger or problems or pain and fighting in their support. He called for
everybody’s support to such a leader of compassion. MLC Meka Seshubabu, state
general secretary Koyye Moshen Raju, former MLA Granthi Srinivas and Mudunuri
Prasad Raju spoke to call for everybody’s attendance to the public meeting
arranged tomorrow to make it a success.
People in Tundurru area
have been resisting the construction of the Mega Aqua Food Park for 2.5 years.
They have been exclaiming how lakes with prawns and fish can get affected due
to pollution and how groundwater can get polluted disturbing the water table in
the area. The Government, with least concern to the just pleas of the people,
has imposed section 144 in the area and is proving its tyranny. Children are
being hindered from going to school and heads of the families are being sent to
jail. The people of Tundurru have to show some kind of an ID card in order to
go out.
In such a dreadful
situation, YS Jagan is going to meet the victims tomorrow and extend his
support to their struggle.
