Sharmila enthused by people's response

Overwhelmed by the tremendous response and
enthused by love and affection showered on her by the people, especially women
during the first two days of her Maro Praja Prasthanam, Sharmila continued with
her 3000-km walkathon on third day on Saturday.

Sharmila, who began her Padayatra from Bhumaiah Gari Palle on Saturday, had a pleasant surprise when she
had entered the village Velpula.

Thousands
of people, who had come in from the nearby hamlets and gathered at Velpula, had
laid out a half-a-km long path of flowers and extended her a red carpet welcome
into the village.

Most of the
women offered her the traditional Mangalaharathi and wished her best in her
pursuit. As in the first two days, Sharmila has continued with the practice of meeting
people today finding out their problems in her inimitable style. The third
day’s Yatra would pass through Velpula, Bestavari Palle, Pulivendula RTC
Bustand, Flower Shops, Parnapalle Road, Ring Road circle and reach YSR’s house covering
a stretch of 11.3 Km.

Sharmila creating political storm: Bhumana

YSRCP
senior leader and Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakara Reddy said Sharmila’s
Padayatra is creating a political storm across the state and people are
wholeheartedly welcoming her during the Yatra.

“I went
along YSR during his Padayatra in 2003 but the response to Sharmila’s Padayatra
is double to what YSR had received,” he told media persons in Tirupati, adding
Sharmila is personally meeting people to get first hand information about their
problems. “There is a world of difference between the Padayatra of Chandrababu
and that of Sharmila.”
