Anantapur, Sept 1:YSRCP senior leader and former minister Sake Sailajanath launched a scathing attack on TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, saying that it has been 30 years since he backstabbed party founder NTR, usurped power, and turned betrayal into his brand.
Speaking to the media at the YSRCP district office in Anantapur, Sailajanath said Chandrababu Naidu’s political journey is a story of deception, opportunism, and incompetence. He reminded that NTR was humiliated, betrayed by his own family members under Chandrababu’s conspiracy, and pushed into untimely death due to the anguish caused. “Chandrababu has become the brand ambassador of treachery in Indian politics,” he said.
He alleged that Chandrababu dismantled NTR’s people-oriented policies such as Rs.2 rice and total prohibition, only to introduce belt shops in every village, turning Andhra Pradesh into a liquor hub. In contrast, YSR revived and strengthened the subsidized rice scheme and stood by the poor.
Calling Chandrababu the most incompetent ruler, Sailajanath said he could not even bring Krishna waters to his own constituency, Kuppam. Despite two terms as Chief Minister, he neglected the Handri-Neeva project, ignored canal widening, and only focused on commissions. It was YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who finally brought water to Kuppam in 2024, he reminded.
Sailajanath also accused Chandrababu of plotting to cut pensions. Notices were already served to thousands of disabled beneficiaries, with officials pressured to reduce disability percentages. “Naidu is conspiring to remove pensions for the elderly and disabled, showing his cruelty and vendetta politics,” he said.
