SCS demand: YS Jagan to take break on March 1

The YSR Congress Party has decided to intensify its fight against the centre to demand Special Category Status (SCS) for Andhra Pradesh. To achieve the goal, the party has chalked out a programme which includes sit-in before all state collector offices on March 1 and dharnas at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on March 5, the day when Parliament will for Budget session.
Talking to media persons here today, YSRCP general secretary T Raghuram informed that their party was going all out to achieve SCS for the state and they would start intensifying stir. To begin with on March 1, general people and YSRCP workers will lay siege to all the 13 district collectorates in the state in demand for SCS, he informed. He told that to make this programme a success across the state, YSRCP chief YS Jagan will take a break from his Praja Sankalpa Yatra and during the period before resuming it on March 3.
On March 3, the YSRCP MPs will go to New Delhi for attending the Parliament Budget session. They will meet the party chief in Prakasam district on the same day, Raghuram informed. YS Jagan will flag off the bus carrying the MPs, who will strive to impress upon the Parliament to give SCS to AP, he said.
The YSRCP general secretary said that the party was planning a major dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on March 5, the day Parliament budget session will begin. Apart from the YSRCP MPs, the party cadre and general public will be participating in the dharna.
