Vijayawada: YSRCP's official spokesman, Kolusu Parthasarathy, complained that Chandrababu's Government was bluffing people in the matter of Polavaram project. Mentioning it was natural for finalisation of project cost, expenditure and other details before taking a loan, he condemned the secrecy being maintained by the government in the matter.
Speaking to the media at Vijayawada, Parthasarathy sternly questioned TDP Government to make it clear if the project cost was Rs.16,200 crore or Rs.40,200 crore. He complained that Babu and Lokesh were robbing from contractors while ministers were taking as much commissions as they could.
Parthasarathy particularly criticised minister Devineni Uma for robbing Rs.150 crore by imposing restrictions on the amount of cement required. He questioned what was the need for the minister to discuss with the cement dealers if not to pocket commissions. He complained that Devineni had practised irregularities at Bapulapadu mandal in Krishna district and that he had snatched lands for as cheap as Rs.25-30 lakh and sold them for Rs.55 lakh to the people of his choice.
Reminding how Devineni had filed cases in the court during YSR's rule when canals were being dug, he stated that he was again trying to get commissions by showing 1-2 acres of farmers now. Parthasarathy demanded for justice to weaker sections of the society.
