Hyderabad: YSRCP MLC Ummareddy
Venkateswarulu commented that TDP Government had miserably failed in administration,
while being immersed in corruption and forgetting all about its poll promises.
Recollecting how Chandrababu had sworn in the name of Lord Venkateswara to get fifteen
years rather than ten years of special category status to the state, he
demanded to know why Babu was watering down the issue now. He informed that public
meetings were being held throughout the state to raise awareness among people
regarding the failure of the Government in the name 'Jai Andhra Pradesh', beginning with the one to be conducted
at Visakhapatnam on the 6th of November at 3pm. A poster pertaining
to this meeting has been released at the party’s central office today.

Ummareddy made it clear
that YSRCP would keep fighting until special category status was sanctioned, as
the state’s development would be possible only with it. Stating that the leader
of opposition and YSRCP president YS Jagan had been raising awareness among the
youth through programmes like Yuvabheri and taking to their notice the
deception of the state and the central Governments, he mentioned that the
public meetings were intended to unite people in the fight for the cause buy
raising their cognizance regarding it.

Ummareddy opined that the
Government had miserably failed in all areas. To make people realise this
better, the public meetings would be conducted at five places around the state
in the least, he said. Further details would be announced later, said the
leader, as he spoke to the media. He stated that senior leaders would come to
speak at the meetings to explain to the people how terribly the Government had
failed in administration. He called for the people to attend the meetings in
huge numbers and make it a great success.

YSRCP’s state general
secretary and MP V.Vijaya Sai Reddy, official spokesperson Vasireddy Padma,
senior leader Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy and others
participated in the meeting.
