People pay rich tributes to YSR

People paid rich tributes to the late chief minister YSR on Sunday on his third Vardhanti across the state. Several public service programmes like blood donation camps, free medical camps and Anna Danam were also held on the occasion by the YSRCP in almost all mandals and towns.

A special programme was held at the YSR Samadhi at Idupulapaya in Pulivendula Mandalam of Kadapa district where YSRCP honourary president YS Vijayamma and other family members paid rich tributes to YSR and remembered his services to the people.

In several districts and in Hyderabad, ministers and Congress MLAs too paid tributes to the late leader while activists performed Abhishekam (holy bath) with milk to YSR statues.

While YSRCP leaders YV Subba Reddy, MV Mysoora Reddy and Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy paid their respects to YSR at the Smruthi Vanam at Pavuralagutta in the Nallamala forest of Kurnool district where YSR’s helicopter crashed on Sept 2, 2009, party MP Mekapati Rajamohana Reddy and leaders Bajireddy Govardhan, Konatala Rama Krishana, Somayajulu garlanded the statue of YSR at the YSRCP headquarters in Hyderabad and remembered his services to the Telugu people.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajamohana Reddy said anarchy has been prevailing in the state after the demise of YSR. “There is not even an iota of comparison between YSR Administration and the present one,” he said taking a dig at the present government.

Party leaders Bajireddy Govardhan, Konatala Rama Krishana and Somayajulu also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the services rendered by the late CM.

Blood donation and medical camps
Party Seva Dal Convener Kotamreddy Vinay Reddy organized blood donation camp and a free medical camp on the occasion at the party head office in Hyderabad.

YSR Congress Party leaders at Rajahmandry, Nagari, Guntur, Vijayawada, Nalgonda, Adilabad and Tirupati also conducted blood donation camps and hosted Annadanam Programmes on the occasion, besides paying tributes to YSR who served the state as cheif minister with a service motto.
