New Delhi: The National Green Tribunal once again raised a petition on the government regarding the lack of environmental licenses for Amravati. The former IAS officer E.A.S Sarma raised a petition stating that the license given for Capital formation is not aligning to the terms issued by the National Tribunal. He mentioned that there is no permissions given for the state authority for the flights in sensitive environmental areas according to the Green Tribunal in his petition, however the argument by the petitioner was postponed to February 4th for hearing.
In the past also, many petitions were filed against the capital of Andhra Pradesh formation stating the lack of adherence to the terms of the Tribunal. NTG has warned the State not to continue any programs which are not in line with the license agreed upon. With the latest petition, the significance for the environmental licenses has come into picture again.
