No Section Benefitted From TDP & BJP Budgets In AP: Srikanth Reddy

YSR Kadapa: YSR Congress Party senior leader and MLA Gadikota Srikanth Reddy said that not a single section in Andhra Pradesh benefitted from the four annual budgets presented by TDP and BJP governments in the State and at the Centre.

Addressing the press in YSR Kadapa district, the Rayachoty MLA said at one side centre deceived Andhra Pradesh by not honouring the promises, on the other  Chandrababu Naidu’s government siphoned off the public funds leaving the poor in dire straits.  He questioned the government for showing revenue deficit in the budget proposals.

Srikanth Reddy disputed the government's claim that Pattiseema addressed irrigation crisis in YSR Kadapa district. The official figures shown the irrigated land has been reduced in the district.

The YSR Congress MLA listed out Chandrababu's failures which includes waiver of farmers loans and non allocations for BC sub plan. He lambasted the TDP government for increasing the state debts to Rs 2 lakh crore from Rs 90, 000 crore in four years.

Srikanth Reddy said Chandrababu spent more money instead of creating assets for the state. The establishment of Kadapa steel plant and Urdu University remained on papers. The demand for more funds and High Court in Rayalaseema region were not addressed in the budget. The meagre funds of Rs 200 crore are not sufficient for Anna Canteens.  He demanded Chandrababu to explain the benefits extended to Rayalaseema in the new budget.
