Hyderabad, May 14,
2013: The Konda couple, MLC Konda Murali and his wife Konda Surekha, on Tuesday
denied news reports of their leaving the YSR Congress party and made it clear
they would continue to be active members of the party.
“There is no truth in
the news reports that we are leaving the YSRCP. The question of leaving it
doesn’t arise at all. We will continue to stand by the YSR family and strive to
achieve the aim of making the party chief Sri Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy CM,” they
told reporters after meeting him in the Chanchalguda jail here.
Asserting they do not
have any unhappiness, Murali and Surekha said Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy had advised
them on certain issues and they would go by his advice. “We will continue to
stand by the Party honourary president Smt. Y.S. Vijayamma and Smt. Sharmila
and do our best for the growth of the party,” they said, requesting the people
not to mistake them.
YSRCP MLA Balineni
Srinivasa Reddy also accompanied them when the couple called on the Party chief
at the jail. Murali and Surekha also met Smt. Vijayamma at her Lotus Pond
residence on Monday and discussed party issues with her.
