Jagan juggernaut worries Cong MPs

In the wake of the NDTV sample survey which said that majority of Andhra Pradesh people have favoured YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as the chief minister, Seema Andhra Congress MPs are worried over their political fate.
At a meeting hosted by Eluru MP Kavuri Sambasiva Rao at his residence in Delhi Monday night, nine congress MPs had discussed the survey results apart from the demand for separate Telangana state.
It might be recalled that the NDTV survey had predicted 21 Lok Sabha seats to the YSRCP in case midterm elections are held to the Lok Sabha. Telangana Rashtra Samithi is likely to get ten seats while Congress is tipped to have 9 and others 2, according to the survey.
As the 21 seats that may go the YSRCP way are from the Seema Andhra region, the Seema Andhra Congress MPs are worried they would become jobless in state politics.
According to the Congress Rajya Sabha member JD Seelam, the meeting discussed ways and means to strengthen the party in view of the growing popularity of Jagan in the state. However, it is learnt that the meeting failed to come to a conclusion on the steps to be taken to stop the Jagan juggernaut.
