Irrigation Projects Neglected

Kurnool: YSRCP's MLA of Mantralayam, Y.Balanagireddy, criticised CM Chandrababu's fake love for Rayalaseema's projects. Complaining that TDP Government had been neglecting welfare of farmers, he commented that the Government was not reacting to farmers' problems. Speaking to the media on the occasion of distribution of mini tractors sanctioned to the farmers of Mantralayam, he criticised the Government's delay in paying compensation to the farmers for the loss of their crops and in recognising drought areas of Kosigi and Kouthlam mandals of the constituency.

Balanagireddy also remarked that the Government had snatched farmers' lands with force to run real estate mafia in the capital area. He also criticised the Government's negligence to the problems of people due to demonetisation and commented that the Government had failed in completing irrigation projets in time, mentioning that Pulikanuma project that could be completed with Rs.30 crore had been neglected. The MLA stated that the Government had failed to take up preventive measures for migration of farmers. YSRCP leaders Siva Kumar and Raju also participated in the event.
