HC to decide on Jagan’s bail plea on Jan 24

Hyderabad,
Jan 22, 2013: Expressing its ire over the CBI for the inordinate delay in probing
the YSRCP Chief Sri Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy’s case, the High Court of AP said on
Tuesday it would deliver its orders on his regular bail plea on Jan 24.

The
arguments over the hearing on Jagan Mohan Reddy’s bail petition, which began in
the morning, were extended to post-lunch session in the High Court.

Putting
forth his arguments on behalf of CBI, Additional Solicitor General Ashok Bhanu
said the probe in the case has been moving at a snail’s pace due to lack of
proper response from the state Government.

“How long
will you take to finish the probe? How many years will you take to complete the
investigation?” Justice Seshasayana Reddy asked angrily when the CBI counsel
said it would try to complete the probe as soon as possible.

The Court
expressed displeasure over the reply of Ashok Bhanu that CBI has been facing
difficulties in completing the probe.

Niranjan
Reddy, counsel for Sri Jagan Mohan Reddy, objected to the reply and pointed out
that CBI can’t prolong the remand of his client any more on the pretext that Government
has not been cooperating.

The High
Court then said it would deliver its orders on the bail plea on Thursday, Jan
24.
