Govt.'s Vengeful Attitude Shall Not Be Tolerated

  • YSRCP leaders' unjust arrest in Krishna district
  • Cases registered in 3 mandals against Roja, Jogi Ramesh, Udayabhanu
Vijayawada: Another incident happened to prove the vengeful attitude of the ruling party leaders under the mask of power. On the occasion of Sankranthi festival, rangoli competitions were held for women by YSRCP at Alluru, Peddapuram, Chandarlapadu and Nekkalampadu villages in Nandigama, Veerulapadu and Chandarlapadu mandals of Krishna district.
Prize distribution for the competition was carried out by YSRCP MLA RK Roja and senior leaders Jogi Ramesh and Samineni Udayabhanu as chief guests. Unable to digest the tremendous response received from women for the rangoli competitions, TDP leaders created chaos in Gram sabhas, leading to imposition of section 144 in Peddapuram village. Cases were filed with encouragement of and pressure from minister Devineni Uma in these three mandals against the leaders accusing them of addressing the people in a provoking manner.
RK Roja was named as A1 accused, Jogi Ramesh as A2 and Samineni Udayabhanu as A3. Jaganmohan Rao and Arun Kumar were named as A4 and A5. Samineni and Arun Kumar held agitation in the respective constituencies, as a protest against the behaviour of the police and the Government.

Uma should stop vengeful acts: Jogi Ramesh

Senior leader of YSRCP, Jogi Ramesh, suggested that irrigation minister of AP, Devineni Uma, should stop showing vengeful attitude. Speaking to the media at Vijayawada on Tuesday, he slammed imposition of false cases on himself, Samineni Udayabhanu, Roja, Jaganmohan Rao and Arun Kumar. Stating that there had been no chaos in Nandigama tour, he complained that cases had been filed on them deliberately. He questioned if the opposition parties were not entitled to question the Government in democratic system and why cases had not been filed against those TDP leaders who had spoken ill of YSRCP president, YS Jagan. Jogi Ramesh cautioned that people would not tolerate such degraded politics for very long.
