Farm Sector In Deep Crisis Due To Chandrababu’s Lopsided Policies

YSRCP official spokesperson Vasireddy Padma said that the farm sector in Andhra Pradesh was in the throes of a deep crisis thanks to the lopsided policies of Chandrababu Naidu Government.

Talking to mediapersons at the party's Central Office in Hyderabad on Saturday, she said that an estimated 62 per cent of the state's population depend on agriculture and the farm sector is now in deep crisis. She said the AP farmers have the highest per capita debt burden.

"Whenever Chandrababu Naidu is in power, the farm sector crisis aggravates. The farmers do not get remunerative prices for their produce," she said and dared Chandrababu Naidu to come out with a White Paper on the benefits that accrued to the farmers in the state after he took over the reins of power.

She said that the farmers were pouring out their tales of woe to YS Jagan in every village. The farmers are suffering because there is no remunerative price. The Government was further troubling the farmers by resorting to land grab in the name of land acquisition.
