Essentials exempted from state bandh

Hyderabad, Aug 30, 2012: YSRCP leader and MLC Jupudi Prabhakara Rao today appealed to people to make tomorrow’s state bandh successful. The party has called for state wide bandh on Aug 31 in protest against the Government’s failure to tackle the critical power situation in the state.
Addressing a media conference at the YSRCP headquarters here, Prabhakara Rao advised people not to believe the rumours spread by the Congress and TDP. “The two parties are trying to foil the bandh by spreading false rumours. Kindly don’t believe them,” he said.
Maintaining that essentials like milk, water and medical services are exempted from the bandh call, he said the bandh would be applicable to all educational, commercial and business establishments apart from Government offices, banks and transport services.
“I call upon all sections of people to observe the bandh and make it successful,” Prabhakara Rao appealed.
