Penugonda: YSRCP's district president Malagundla Sankar Narayana stated that a huge dharna would be held in the district headquarters on the 27th of this month in order to wake up the dormant Government regarding the drought situation in the district. Speaking to the media at Kondapuram village of Gorantla mandal in Penugonda constituency, he mentioned how the district was suffering due to drought like never before.
He slammed the ministers, the MLAs and the MPs for ignoring the district when there was shortage of rainfall. He specified that the dharna to be held on the 27th was to make the Government aware of the reality. Informing that YSRCP president YS Jagan would attend the event and speak, he called for the farmers of the district, the people and the party cadre to participate in the dharna and make it a success.
