Hyderabad: Arogyasree scheme initiated by former CM Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy for the benefit of the poor was implemented by efficiently during his tenure. The scheme gave life to many poor people.

But the current Government is watering down intention of the scheme with its inefficiency. The poor have been pushed into a terrible situation where they have to sell their lands for receiving proper medical treatment. With Fees Reimbursement scheme shelved, they are also selling their lands for getting their children through their education. As they took this to the notice of the leader of opposition in AP and YSRCP president, YS Jagan, he was moved.

YS Jagan wrote a public letter to AP CM Chandrababu, requesting for not changing Aarogyasree as Anarogyasree. Ridiculing that TDP rule was dependent on corruption, he mentioned that a dharna would be held in front of all district collectorates on the 9th of this month demanding for allocation of funds to Aarogyasree scheme.
