Congress, TDP foisting false cases against YS Jagan family

Vijayawada: YSR Congress Party official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu severely critcised TDP leaders. He reasoned why would ED file cases against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy if YSRCP was in alliance with BJP. If only YSRCP had compromised with BJP why would YS Jagan attend court every week, he asked.

Talking to media here today, Ambati explained the sequence of events and said these were nothing but a conspiracy to defame YS Jagan. "At first, they filed a case against YS Jagan's wife YS Bharati. Two TDP newspapers named Bharati as accused. Later, YS Jagan came out with an open letter. To this TDP leader Kala Venkat Rao and ministers criticised the YSRCP Chief," he said.

The YSRCP spokesperson said few people were working against Dr YSR Rajasekhara Reddy's family. He said both Congress and TDP were foisting false cases against the family and harassing them. Unable to bear the response that YS Jagan was receiving in his Praja Sankalpa Yatra, they were dragging Mrs Bharati to courts to curb YSRCP's growth in the state, he pointed out.

Ambati said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was conspiring to send YS Jagan to jail so that TDP could easily win the elections. During last elections the TDP campaigned that YS Jagan had siphoned off Rs one lakh crores. He said that the TDP later corrected itself and said it was Rs 43,000 crores. "The fact is that YS Jagan was facing Rs 1200 crore case in the court. The TDP should be ashamed of spreading false information," he said.

He demanded that Chandrababu and his family should inform the public about their salaries earned from Heritage. He said that the AP CM was very good in 'managing' government officials. If only the call data between the TDP chief and two ED officials is made public, one could gauge the level of understanding between them, he pointed out. "If only YSRCP had the capacity to 'manage' the officials, we wouldn't have been suffering so much."

Ambati said when YS Jagan was in jail, TDP had propagated that YSRCP did not exist. But after he came out and garnered a huge fan following, TDP was unable to bear the popularity and was foisting false cases against everyone in YSRCP. He questioned the moral standing of Jamalamadugu MLA Adinarayana Reddy, who won the elections with YSRCP and commenting on YS Jagan without resigning from their posts.

He further said that finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu had accused YSRCP cadre responsible for Tuni train burning case. Why didn't the ruling TDP government conduct an investigation into the complete episode, he asked.
